Melissa Jansen
843-442-0559
AGENT BIO
Over 16 years ago, my family visited Charleston for the first time. It only took one day to realize that the Charleston lifestyle was what we wanted for ourselves. We spent our vacation looking for a place as close to the beach as we could find, and we moved from Atlanta to Charleston within 6 months.
They say home is where the heart is, and I am inclined to believe that is true. I grew up in Atlanta, and the thought of relocating had never occurred to me. All that quickly changed after visiting Charleston. Something about the area just felt right. It felt like home, and like the Little River Band songs says, “it’s there that I feel my best.” Our willingness to make a Cool Change has made such a difference in our quality of life. I am so greatful for the experience and look forward to helping others do the same.
Perhaps you are looking to relocate like I did, or maybe you are dreaming of a second home (and potential investment property). For those that already call Charleston home, you too may need a Cool Change.
Please feel free to contact me with questions at any time. If Charleston is where you long to be, I look forward to helping you make a Cool Change!

AGENT BIO
While I am a South Carolina native, I moved away at the age of 5 and always told my parents that I would end up back in South Carolina at some point. I attended University of Massachusetts Amherst and got my degree in Early Childhood Education and Sociology. After college, I taught preschool at a private Montessori school on the close-knit island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. After taking on the new adventure of moving to Charleston, it was time to explore another interest in my life: real estate.
I absolutely love the architecture and design elements of homes. Plus, I've always been a social butterfly, so helping people find their ideal home is very rewarding for me. When I'm not with clients, you'll find me boating, fishing, and doing all things water-related with my boyfriend Jay and yellow Lab Winnie.

Kathleen “Kathy” Jordan
843-442-0782
AGENT BIO
Kathy studied Government and International Studies at the University of South Carolina. Afterwards, she pursued a career in the art industry. Makes perfect sense, right?
Kathy's career in real estate began unintentionally in 1990 after Hurricane Hugo destroyed her home and one of her art galleries. She moved to Hilton Head Island to escape the devastation, with an eye toward opening another gallery. Upon the realization that the Hilton Head market could not sustain another art gallery,
she called her Realtor and asked about the real estate biz. Fast forward a few months, and she found herself in a boutique firm on the Island. Her new career took off and she never looked back. Homesick for Charleston, she moved back in 1995 and shortly became a BIC for a large firm in town. She always loved the beach, and ultimately opened her own company on Sullivan's Island, specializing in selling and managing fine coastal homes. She sold that business 12 years later to a friendly competitor, and joined The Boulevard Company.
In her down time, she enjoys renovating homes, painting (art, not walls), and is a beginner woodworker.
She lives in Mount Pleasant with her dogs and cats, along with the occasional partial snake or lizard she finds on the back porch.
