Tim is a fifth generation Charleston native with 30+ years of experience in various aspects of real estate, having obtained his real estate license at age 19.
Tim discovered his love of real estate while attending Winthrop College and being consumed with the vision and thoughts of renovating the many historic homes that had fallen into disrepair. Channeling that energy closer to home, Tim purchased his first property in Charleston at age 20 and built a portfolio of investment properties around Charleston while also working with investors and home buyers seeking renovation and restoration projects.
Tim’s professional experience includes building an insurance agency, owning a commercial cleaning business, and finally, a 17 year career in the financial services sector, owning a business that he ultimately sold to a publicly traded company based in Australia. Tim re-entered the real estate arena in 2015 and now enjoys living in downtown Summerville, SC in his historic Camellia Cottages home and offers its three cottages for short-term, corporate, and vacation rental.
Tim specializes in investment property, historic renovation, and restoration properties with personal experience navigating licensing and board of architectural review approvals for such projects, not to mention strong personal relationships with numerous reputable, dependable, and reasonable local contractors, designers, and suppliers.
“Charleston born, Charleston bred, someday will be Charleston dead. From boating, beach going, kayaking and all of the other fun activities coastal living provides, to all of the festivals, historical and cultural activities this area offers, there are few places that can match the greater Charleston area for raising a family, retiring and everything in between. I have never imagined calling anywhere else home.”
